‘Covid-19’ or ‘Coronavirus’ has been declared a ‘pandemic’ by the World Health Organisation. The ALSO team will be continually monitoring guidance provided by Public Health England and adjusting our plans accordingly.

Our priority is to safeguard you - our wonderful festival goers - our festival staff, contractors and volunteers, whilst continuing to deliver the magic of an ALSO weekend. We have, therefore, put measures in place to keep everyone safe and limit the potential spread of coronavirus.

Our main approaches to combating the risks presented by Covid-19 will be through supporting and maintaining social distancing and appropriate hygiene routines and practices. To keep you informed please read below for these measures and ways you can support the safeguarding of this weekend.

What We Are Doing

We're keeping numbers low and operating at 30% of our site’s capacity. This will allow plenty of space for camping, playing and relaxing.

Check in information will be sent to you before you arrive so you know what to expect.

Temperature checks are taking place on arrival.

Hand sanitisers will be available at all facilities and throughout the site.

You’ll be required to wear a mask anywhere on site you may have to queue, for example: toilets, bar, book shop and food stalls.

Our facilities will be thoroughly cleaned throughout the weekend.

Private toilets are available to hire for you and anyone in your bubble for the weekend.

Unfortunately, we are not allowed to provide showers this year because of the increased risk they pose.

Car passes are available so you can park next to where you camp.

We will follow current government and local authority guidelines in relation to all operational, hygiene and safety issues.

All workshops will be pre bookable and have limited spaces to allow for social distancing.

All payments on site will be contactless.

Guests not following the government guidelines relating to social distancing whilst on-site, will be asked to leave.

What you can do

The theme is A Place in the Country so please bring everything you need to make it your own for whatever you might want or need for the weekend - from sanitizer, extra duvets, fold up chairs, tables, hampers, lights, umbrellas, wine chillers, picnic blankets, opera singers, candelabra with electric candles, flamenco guitarists, waterproofs, hat, gloves, walking boots, extra socks, jumpers wellies, inflatables, gazebos, paddle boards, something warm, glamorous and sparkly to wear for Saturday night.

Maintain social distancing throughout the weekend.

Observe and follow instructions on signs around site, in particular when you are required to wear a mask.

Use the conveniently located hand sanitisers before and after touching any equipment around the site.

Make sure your children sanitise their hands regularly.

You must camp 10m from other campers unless they are in your Covid secure bubble.

Consider hiring a private toilet for your bubble.

Do not attend if you are displaying symptoms, have recently travelled to a country where you are required to quarantine or are travelling from an area where local lockdown rules have been put in place.
