Wellbeing
With 95% of us feeling happier, healthier, and calmer in nature, wellbeing isn’t a side note at ALSO – it’s woven into its DNA. ALSO is where boutique meets the wild. And being boutique and beautiful means your ALSO weekend enmeshes you in nature in a way no other festival can do, and with all your creature comforts covered.
With a half-mile-long Capability Brown-designed lake that opens to the public only for this one weekend each year, enmeshed in a 17th-century landscape gently being reclaimed by the wild, it all works together to recharge you, even before you join one of our many wellness activities programmed throughout the weekend.
Wellbeing in 2026. . .
At ALSO26, we found our fortune and flow with our most ambitious wellness programme to date, centred around our all-new lakeside Sanctuary Sessions - a restorative world within the wild featuring the gorgeous ALSO Sauna, upgraded for 2026 with new Cold Plunges allowing us to build our own Scandi-style contrast therapy cycles.
Our lakeside sanctuary was the place to relax and rejuvenate, and fringed a programme of world-class wellbeing classes as we partnered with Numinity (founded by sisters Melissa and Holly), who brought a curated series of transformative experiences designed to explore the festival's theme. We dived into the intersection of fate and wellbeing with Neural Reprogramming Meditation to rewire limiting beliefs, a Manifestation Lab to map out our future, and Fortuitous Breathwork using Ayurvedic Tulsi and Neem, alongside Rage Release: Catharsis, Dream Analysis, and a fascinating deep-dive into The Dark Side of Wellbeing.
The lake took centre stage with many ways to enjoy this beneficial body of water, and we immersed ourselves in the Blue Mind theory through wild swimming at dusk and dawn, raft building and paddleboard safaris. And we didn’t have to get wet - our wellness programme continued on land with aquatic walks and talks - including Abby Richardson (co-writer of Do Blue: Water, Waves and Wellbeing) on how reconnecting with water could transform wellbeing; a programme of workshops and masterclasses, or simply gazing across the rippling surface and the reflection of sun-dappled trees in a scented meditation. And for those wanting to move, move, move, we joined Stornoway’s Oli Steadman for TrAiLdAnCe (a joyful 5km dance-run).
From the ALSO Run Club kicking off the mornings to Scented Yoga with 4160 Tuesdays to a starlit swim, ALSO offered endless ways to reset and reconnect.
