Let us help you bring Twixtmas to life with ALSO's winter Festival, here's how to do it...
We'll be on hand at 7pm on Sunday 27th December to kick-off and talk you through it. By then, we hope you will have cooked up a storm - we're sending out one of Priya Basil's family recipe's so we can eat together as part of our virtual supper club as we talk to her about hospitality and generosity, before sliding into Marcel Lucont's Cabaret Fantastique.
Then on Monday 28th, begin the day Scandi-style by proving your cinnamon buns (Bread for Life will send out the recipe to festival-goers in advance), understand how to Live More and Think Less with Danish therapist Dr Pia Callesen. Bring your freshly cooked cinnamon buns to Forest Bathing as the world's foremost expert in forest medicine, Dr Qing Li, helps us put trees at the centre of our health. Get classic advice from classicists Natalie Haynes and Prof Edith Hall in our ancient guides to modern times Salon. Untangle your body in our afternoon LIVE digital dance workshop with Jemima Hoadley or book on one of our Christmas workshops, ranging from Whisky Appreciation Society with Rachel McCormack and Prof Barry C Smith to an all-singing, all-dancing 11 chocolate bars chocolate tasting (with enough chocolate to last you until Easter) with Cocoa Runners. And don’t miss our North Star extraordinary business psychologist, Margaret Heffernan in conversation with the author of her book of the year.
On Tuesday 29th we build on our love of nature with our we-love-trees ALSO experience with Paul Wood, our ability to process the stress of 2020 with Carmine Pariante. We'll be looking at big ideas coming up in 2021 with our work-in-progress magazine-style show starring Bobby Duffy and Tawseef Khan, before looking at clothes designers we can all get behind in 2021 with Lauren Bravo - and many more sessions across the three days....and plenty of opportunities to be part of the ALSO community...
Take a look at our full line-up here.
And with our live and catch-up feature, you'll be able to watch and get involved as we stream or catch up later, at a time that suits you.
Hope to share the Twixtmas time with you! We have a very limited number of first-tier £29 tickets available - get yours here.
