ALSO is well-placed to invite the curious to discover new things and dare to try something different as part of the 2017 theme, 'Truth or Dare'.

Or just wanting to unwind and lose yourself in nature? Immerse yourself in our beautiful 50-acre venue designed by the UK’s most famous landscape architect, Capability Brown and join one of our wild swimming sessions.
And for a performance you won’t forget, don’t miss flâneur, raconteur and bon-viveur Marcel Lucont’s incredible hit show, Cabaret Fantasique.
Why not put your late Saturday night into the hands of flâneur, raconteur and bon-viveur Marcel Lucont, who will present the cream of alternative cabaret and comedy acts in his incredible hit show Cabaret Fantasique.
This is Steve Vertigo's new one-man stand up show that debuted at Leicester Comedy Festival this year, and is currently touring. It's a surreal story-led show, that veers from family to serial killers and a lot of things in between. Get there early for this on Friday night.
For 2017, we're creating an authentic venue to get to grips with your feelings about rum by building Also Festival its very own Rum Shack on the banks of the beautiful lake. Our thinking was inspired by Justin and Gill, two brilliant members of the ALSO team (and they're all brillliant) who spent a year in Honduras working on an enviromental project for the local community and developing a healthy regard for rum - in that order.
You bring the foraged stick, we'll bring the marshmallows and follow Alstice in a procession as he leads us to the now traditional Saturday night lighting of the bonfire, then we can have a wonderful time rocking around the campfire before the night starts in earnest.
Combrook resident runner John Wade, stalwart of the Stratford on Avon Park Run will be leading anyone who wants to join in a gentle 4k run around the beautiful Warwickshire countryside beginning and ending right slap bang in the Also Festival site. If you want to join him (or wave him off) please meet at information at 8am.
In this incredible wine tasting session leading misanthropic Frenchman Marcel Lucont suggests which wines should be drunk with the more unusual philosophical situations you might find yourself in. Drawing on his own experience and philosophy of life he'll explain what to take to a party held by people you despise, and what to drink to make you seem more successful at life even though you are British. This is a wine tasting session unlike any other - Also Festival style.
Want to be a pop star? Got the attitude, the moves, the outfit, but not necessarily the voice? Then this, my friends is for you. We will be opening up the Also stage to those who want to perform as their favourite star without having to actually sing as well. Distracted by needing to know the notes? Worry no more. Get on stage and do your thing. Make it look great and we'll make you sound great.
Cabaret? West Side Story? Jesus Christ Superstar? If you're a fan of emotions getting so high you've just gotta sing - you won't miss this session for the world. If not, don't worry the venue for this event is completely sound proofed. However, we KNOW some of our Also-ers are looking for the opportunity to belt out 'I Know Him So Well' and their like, with a live piano accompanist, and we want to be the ones who make that dream come true. You're welcome.
Haggle this! We are not a big fans of buying stuff at Also, and yet we realise that a weekend is a long time to go cold turkey when it comes to retail, and frankly who are we to stand in the way of commerce? So this year for the first time we will unleash the Also Festival Night Market a chance for you to enjoy this pop up market and support local artists, artisans and craft folk of Warwickshire, whilst sipping a cool beer in our beautiful lakeside Orangerie.
We of course had to find a sport that represented the beautiful and historical site we find ourselves in for the weekend of the festival - and what better represents the site's history than croquet? Yet we felt such an illustrious sport needed a little bit of edge to make it work for the festival and so we are proud to present a world exclusive, the first ever glow in the dark croquet tournament. Meet you on the hill. I'll be the one with the glow in the dark mallet.
Lyengar yoga teacher and acclaimed perfumier, Sarah McCartney will lead a Scented Yoga session on the Friday evening to kickstart your ALSO weekend.
Muna will be putting together the ultimate bookshop for an ideas festival bringing all the best books for you to browse. She magically transports Book and Kitchen to the country to create in our humble opinion the world's most beautiful book shop. Think cake and coffee, reclining seats looking out on the lake, and even a Billie Holliday soundtrack on vinyl. Muna Khogali worked in publishing for many years before founding Book and Kitchen, a beautiful Notting Hill bookshop with a small cafe, art gallery and events space, hosting literary evenings, supper clubs, music nights and more.
In this hour long treasure hunt of song lyrics, key lyrics from famous songs will be acted out around the festival site. It's up to you to decipher the lyrics being acted out in front of your very eyes, and the song it comes from. Imagine a man in leopard skin jeggings in a boat zipping across the lake with his sails a-flutter. It's Rod Stewart's 'I Am Sailing'. Simple!
Not only was our beautiful venue designed by the UK's most famous landscape architect, Capabilty Brown, but it features the stunning and serene Compton Pools lake. So grab your bikini (or trunks), and head lakeside for some swimming in this beautiful spot. Look out for times on the day.
